Our all-inclusive tuition is just $3,325 per year — every fee included — so the scholarship covers your student's entire education with thousands left over to spend in the Georgia Promise marketplace.
The Georgia Promise Scholarship Program is administered by the Georgia Education Savings Authority (GESA). Alpha Omega Preparatory Academy is a participating private school.

Annual Testing Documentation Deadline
June 30, 2027
All Georgia Promise students must complete annual testing during the spring semester and upload documentation by June 30 to remain eligible. Participating private schools like Alpha Omega administer these tests for their students.
Quarterly Account Funding Begins
Early July (each year)
Approved student accounts are funded at the start of each academic year, then quarterly. Each application window is for enrollment in the following semester.
GOSA Eligible School Zone List Released
Late December (each year)
The Governor's Office of Student Achievement releases the list of eligible public school attendance zones at the end of each calendar year. The December list applies to the following year's applications.
Confirmed dates are published by the Georgia Education Savings Authority. "Expected" windows follow the program's standard annual schedule and will be confirmed by GESA — check back or ask our front office.

Georgia Promise Eligibility Requirements
Public School Enrollment (or Rising Kindergartner)
Your student is currently enrolled and has attended a Georgia public school for two consecutive semesters — or is entering kindergarten for the first time.
Eligible Attendance Zone
You live in a public school attendance zone on the GOSA list of the lowest-performing 25% of Georgia schools. Many Newton and Walton County families qualify — the pre-screen tool checks your address instantly.
Georgia Residency
A parent or guardian has lived in Georgia for at least one year. Active-duty military families who transferred to Georgia within the past year are exempt from the one-year requirement.
Income (Fall Windows Only)
Spring windows (March/May) have no income cap on who may apply. Fall windows (August/November) are reserved for families at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.

How the Georgia Promise Scholarship Works
From eligibility check to funded account — the complete process for Georgia families.

Check Your Eligibility
Use the free pre-screen tool at mygeorgiapromise.org. Your student must have attended a Georgia public school for two consecutive semesters (or be a rising kindergartner), live in an attendance zone on the GOSA lower-25% list, and your family must have lived in Georgia for at least one year (active-duty military transfers excepted).

Gather Your Documents
You'll need a Georgia driver's license plus one residency document (utility bill, mortgage statement, deed, or lease), proof of income (your most recent federal 1040, or SNAP / Medicaid / TANF / LIHEAP / SSDI / SSI documentation), and school enrollment records such as a report card — rising kindergartners are exempt from enrollment records.

Apply During an Open Window
Submit the online application through the Odyssey portal at mygeorgiapromise.org while a window is open. Windows close firmly — late applications wait for the next quarterly window.

Review & Approval
After the window closes, applications are reviewed and your student's status updates in the parent portal: Eligible, Under Review, Approved–Awaiting Opt-In, and finally Approved. If your student is found ineligible, you have 30 days to appeal through Odyssey customer support.

Opt In & Choose Alpha Omega
Once approved, confirm participation in the parent portal and make your education selection. Choose Alpha Omega Preparatory Academy — a participating private school approved to receive Georgia Promise funds directly.

Funds Arrive Quarterly
Your student's account is funded in quarterly installments — up to $6,500 for the 2026-2027 academic year. You initiate tuition payments to Alpha Omega right from your scholarship account.

Stay Compliant Each Year
Complete annual spring testing (we administer it for our students) and upload documentation by June 30, then complete the simple annual recertification. You never have to fully re-apply, and up to 50% of unused funds roll over to the next year.

Come in for standardized testing. We administer standardized tests on campus for middle school and high school, and Georgia Promise students are required to take them. Testing dates are posted on our School Calendar.
